🐾 Dog Rig (2011 Doublecab Tundra)

Awesome, thanks! That’s the one I was looking at. I just got nervous with some of the reviews.

I really like your build. Where can I source the bumper step? Asking for my 5’2’’ wife…

Thanks! Bumper step here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0041FXOFI?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Thank you for the info and quick response!

How many universal brackets did you use? Two or three?

Just two — I had it on there before I got my hinges replaced & GFC swapped the brackets for me when they swapped the hinges. They only put in two so I figure it’s authorized :woman_shrugging:

Copying from the weekly thread for posterity

Installed an intake vent to provide extra airflow for the dog when driving w/panels closed. Can’t remember who shared these vents initially (someone here or on FB) but they seem super high quality and I think it will make a big difference!

After a few days of using this I have been really impressed. I monitor temps pretty closely and have a good sense of how they would respond in different condition. Previously, latching all the panels w/dog in crate + fan on would continuously climb past the outside temp until I could air things out — slower than without the fan, but still increasing. With the vent it sat about 5° Higher than the outside air but did not continue to climb and actually began dropping when I drove ~20 mins hwy speeds. So far, would recommend!

Cool. I just mounted mine with two and it seems solid, glad to hear that two mounts have been working for you as well.

Who makes that wind breaker on your roof?

Had it custom fabbed at Dark Horse Customs here in Bozeman. It attaches to the camper via track nuts.
