Just installed the Hest mattress and the mattress itself is great but having an issue. The tent closes (with some difficulty) but there seems to be a gap between the top and base when fully closed as seen in the picture below. Does anyone have the headliner and Hest mattress installed? If so are you having the same issue?
Not sure how much removing the headliner will help but if that’s the only option, I’d rather do that than have water sneak in since I park outside in the PNW
I have the hest mattress but not the headliner. It takes a little bit longer to tuck everything in, but I have no issues closing it up without water issues. I’d pull out the headliner if I was you.
I have a gap with the V2 Pro, headliner, and standard mattress so not surprising to see this. You can reduce/minimize the gap by flipping the two cushions upside down.
