#34 - no truck but enjoy the dog pic.
Night #1 - New River Gorge National Park @ the Grandview Sandbar campsite. Unfortunately, all the drive-in campsites were snagged (no reservations and limited availability) so we had to cobble together a walk-in site and sneaky-ish spot in the parking lot. The train was just across the river so it may seem idyllic, but be prepared for the 0100 & 0300 trains to come through… loudly.
Night #2 - George Washington National Forest @ the Hidden Valley Campsite. Much better weather and zero trains.
Star Lake, Wisconsin
Also saw another GFC’er when we drove through Eagle River, WI
Night 11. Same spot. Disc golf all weekend has me absolutely exhausted. We played 6 18 hole rounds in 3 days.
Night 29: BLM Land, Placitas, New Mexico. Wife was out of town so I was responsible for the dogs. Got a few “backyard” campsites checked off my list I’ve been wanting to try.
Night 30: Santa Fe National Forest, La Bajada, New Mexico. Camped at a hang glider launch spot on the side of a mesa.
A few photos from our coast-to-coast cross-cuntch move. Camped the whole way with the dogs. Nights in UT-NE-IL-NY. Surf’s up.
Spent 3 nights camping and off roading in Clam Lake, Wi. As part of the Wisconsin Tacomas fall color tour. This is night 1
Night 2. It rained most of the day which made for some interesting off road driving.
Later it stopped and I was able to get the drone out and catch some fall color.
Night 3 after the easier fall colors drive. It was a fantastic day. This year ms crazy weather has interrupted the usual fall colors. A good number of trees have already dropped their leaves while many are still green.
#3 at US Naval Academy’s campground while attending the Annapolis Boat Show. It’s raining outside now, so you get a pic from inside instead Tomorrow, weather permitting, I’ll be sailing on a NEEL 45!
