Rust on GFC accessories

Has anyone had an issue getting the rusted plates off of the beef bar? GFC sent me the warrantied replacement side plates and after removing the rack off the campers, the screws seem to be completely frozen. None of them are even close to moving, even with bit/drill and some solid leverage. All four on each side will not budge.

When I first got my camper I had reviewed this thread discussion taking preventative action I disassemble the beef bars and shot them with RP-342 “HEAVY” Military-Grade Rust Preventive Spray

I use this on my entire truck undercarriage when the truck was brand new I live in a snow area that uses salt

Mine were a bit tricky to take off and I ended up using an impact driver. The bolts are self tapping and I noticed some aluminum corrosion in the bar which made it trickier.

Picked this up last week and all the screws are rusted. Is there a stainless option on Amazon or anything? What size screw?

should all be 1/4-20 for the stock

But I recommend you tap the stuff with some rust converter before you swap, stainless won’t solve galvanic corrosion

Rust converter as in.. paint? Of another substance? I feel like I can get some nylon washers for the outside but wondering if the threaded portion of the stainless screws will still corrode?

Another dumb question… what about aluminum allen screws?
