SOLD: Howl R1 with carrying case (San Diego)

I got one of the new Howl R3s so I am selling my R1. It’s in like-new condition and has the carrying case. I believe I have only used it for 3 nights.

I don’t have a picture of it in the bag on my phone but can take one if needed.

I would really prefer not to ship but will at the buyer’s expense if no one local wants it. Asking $300 of best offer for everything.

Hey man, I moved from San Diego to Portland last year, so unfortunately I wouldn’t be able to pick it up from you in-person. I’m highly interested if you’re ok shipping it though.

Couple of questions:

  1. Does it come with the official Howl case? If so, is it the tan or green one?
  2. Any noticeable dents or scratches on it?

Dang it! Well, hope you enjoy your new R3. Once you’ve taken it out a couple times you’ll have to share some first hand experience on how it compares to the R1.

Ok, I have only had the R3 fired up for about 45 mins but it is WAY warmer. Don’t get an R1, get an R3. Period. Zero question

Sounds like you made the right choice to upgrade :slight_smile: Question though, do you think the R3 will be too warm for summer camping? I read that you can’t adjust the dial down too much.

Now that I’ve tested it, I would say it can be used for summer camping, just sit a little further back. The R3 generates a LOT of heat. I actually partially melted my pants because I was sitting too close
