GFC Topper owner here. So far loving the setup. Have the turbo cubby, lighting kit, beef bars and a FSR tent up top. Wanted to be able to remove the tent when not needed, getting ready to head to Death Valley in 3 weeks
Whewwww that looks slick, especially the topper paint pretty closely matching the body.
@AARON04
Anyone know of some decent dispersed camping in somewhat close proximity to BLM land that doesn’t prohibit target shooting?
Ideally less than 4 hours from south OC on a Friday afternoon
I grew up in IE but all of my old backyard ranges were closed because people are filthy on public land and started fires
I know there are some designated sites near yellow posts outside of big bear but I haven’t seen if those are closed for fire concerns or something
Not sure how far it is from South OC, but we go out to the BLM land near the border and camp and shoot all the time. There’s a closed quarry called Coyote 2 that has shooting out to 1,000 yards
Berdoo canyon outside of j tree is a spot i like to go in the winter, camping is close by and you can get into the park the best way, 4x4 trail.
Otherwise another spot but for summer is Salmon creek in kernville. Camp and shoot from the same spot
Yo! Just wanted to pop on here and see if there is anyone near the border of CA and AZ, down by Yuma, AZ that would be interested in showing off their camper to a guy that is interested in buying. If so, HMU and I will get you connected! Thanks GFC Fam
i’m not close at all but i’m tryna get my friends to go camp at the colorado river in February
Not sure if it’s BLM but I know people shoot out at Stoddard Wells
Also Hodges Road on the way out to Barstow is a popular shooting spot
Hodge road for shooting. I camped there once. It’s like camping in a quasi-dump. You’re not there for the scenery…
I ended up at Berdoo Canyon.
Nothing special, bit comical to see all the Jeepin’ gun folks confused to see a group of Rivians both off-roading AND shooting guns.
Anyone out at King of the Hammers?
I was… not anymore though
Anyone here that has access to metal fabrication stuff?
I have an idea for the Rivian that may be worth developing into a product.
Figured I’d reach out here to the “local” community before I start making shit with Home Depot brackets
Ryan - ironrynofabrication lives in Lomita.
He’s a solid dude and awesome fabricator that might be worth working with.
Steel or aluminum? I build stuff for my truck and friends. I just avoid things like rollbars or cages.
ideally aluminum.
I second Ryan, he does a lot of fab work for the tacomworld and tundraworld communities in the area
Love the set up, do you have any more pics of the turbo cubby, maybe showing how far it protrudes into the bed, deciding if i should pull the trigger.
