Took my lady friend and our dogs up into Gifford Pinchot this weekend. She’s more of a backpacker/tiny tent/hammock camper so this was a new experience for her. Great time exploring my backyard, my first time up close to Mt St Helens.

Gifford is such a great place to explore!

I really liked it up there, and really liked that I could take off after work and not fight Portland traffic heading out to the Mount Hood area. Definitely need to do some more scouting but will be back soon!

Went to a small local music festival here in WA with an epic view.

Moose country for the state of Washington! Gorgeous area!

Some photos from the weekend! We saw three moose, caught some small stream cutthroat trout, found a lake full of salamanders, and loved the first weekend in the go fast.

I want to know what pants those are? Love the pocket layout.

@enjoitheride :raised_hand:t3: Guilty. If I remember correctly, they are the 5.11 tactical ABR pro pants. Been absolutely fantastic!

Anyone that regularly experiences wildfires, how do you cope with smoke inhalation?

Realistically, I stay inside. I know thats not the answer we want to hear but wildfire smoke is nasty stuff. Otherwise, wearing a N95 or greater mask is best bet.

I’m down in the pacific northwest so the last ~8 years or so we’ve had a dedicated smoke season. Its a huge bummer staying inside but c’est la vie

I picked up a bunch of masks this morning in Dawson Creek thinning that would help. Unfortunately for this trip staying inside isn’t an option but I totally understand why.

Hoping things get better the farther south I go
