It’s a tough decision. I camp in the shade whenever I can and the alternator can charge when driving, so permanently mounting the panels doesn’t make much sense for me. If I’m not staying somewhere long enough to make it worth the hassle of putting a panel in the sun, I probably won’t need to utilize solar anyways.
