No, it’s hard mounted to the t-track on the front of the camper. It has a felt strip along the edge where it rests on the roof (since the Tacoma bed flexes, the fairing moves relative to the roof). Sometimes it’ll knock on the roof while driving in really bad cross winds or when I pass a big truck, but most of the time there’s no noise. I think it reduces the wind noise a lot too, especially with the back cab window open.
Hey Globemaster, you wouldn’t happen to have a closeup/more info on the brackets you used to attach the fairing to the GFC? I’ll be picking up a max in July and starting a couple weeks long road trip and was hoping to have some kind of fairing that I could easily install and this looks pretty optimum. I’m toying with adding a pair of high strength magnets near where the fairing meets the cab roof to hopefully eliminate any extra wiggle.

I’m not sure if you can just but the brackets, but it would be worth reaching out to the company to see. The actual fairing was too small and not at the right angle so I kept the brackets and just made a custom fairing.
A word of caution on the magnets: on a Tacoma, the bed flexes independently from the cab so there will always be movement. Magnets would still slide with that flexing and definitely scratch the paint.

Along those lines, I recommend calling Front Runner to ask. I wanted a part for something that was not listed as individually available and was able to get it
