weBoost solutions and GFC

Install is mostly done, going to get a few of those cable clips, so I can keep the power plug and indoor antenna wire separate. When the weather gets warm again, I’ll sand the uglier bits of paint on the aluminum angle and touch it up.

Anyway, going to attach the 5 key photos of my build. I used aluminum angle for routing the outdoor antenna wire and mounting the antenna. 2 different sizes.

More photos here, if you want more info. I used these cable glands to get the wire through the front wall of the GFC.

From my driveway, 2bars of 5g goes up 5 bars. Will have to test from my favorite camp spots next.

I called WeBoost/Wilson about this since I was curious as well and they said they do not recommend. Will be worse for signal

For those that mounted lower, like on the truck roof rack or towards the wedge of the GFC, will the tent being open “block” any of the signal? Or does it not matter?

I use this bracket mounted to a beef bar towards the back of the camper. When I am not using it, I fold it down and strap it to the side of my fly rod case.

When I do use it, I can pivot it to 90° when driving or further to get better cell reach when the camper it popped open.
I did laser cut a small washer to have a better fit for the antenna but you could probably get away with out doing this or using a small amount of gasket sealer when installing.

Here are some photos.
