@fatfurious2 foambymail.com looks like a great resource. I’m not looking to change my GFC mattress at the moment but I’ll look back at them if that changes.

Yes, I have been using foambymail.com for many years. Great service, great products. In addition to mattresses, dog beds, and cushions, I also used their 1/4” closed cell foam to insulate the interior of a Sprinter camper van before adding paneling. I plan to use that as a light insulation on GFC side panels as well.

I think I may use them to change the mattress. The original GFC mattress is a bit too firm for me. I have so many ideas, but so little time and resources hah!

Im still reworking my dual battery/solar setup - hopefully to be done in the spring. Then I can move onto other things that Id like to do.

If you get soft foam, it’s easiest to cut with multiple passes of a utility knife (use a fresh blade). If you get firm (or thick) foam, an electric carving knife will be your best tool. And it’s fun.

You can also use a bread knife, just for each of those make sure to use lots of silicone spray on the blades, makes a huge difference.

Chilly but nice and relaxing by the fire. And the truck can still get some flex with the camper.

Finally measured twice and cut once, and it worked! Test fit is spot on!

Next up, map out where my wiring and DCDC charger will go

looking good!! I like the use of aluminum

I also made a tailgate panel a few months ago. I like the weight savings, but its a one shot of you don’t know how to weld it (which i dont). I still have a little more work to do replacing the rivnuts in the tailgate, but its 98% complete for now. I am also debating whether i should bedline it or leave it raw

That’s gonna get unbearably hot in the sun just fyi

More hot than black? I don’t really hang out or sit on the tailgate. Its a stronger and better option than the factory one. Plus it only cost me $70.

Mostly because it’s metal and not plastic. Would be like a tailgate griddle

Metal is stronger than plastic, and flat is better than ridged (for my knees). I think ill be ok.

Or for sale: $250 + shipping :stuck_out_tongue:

Picked up a slightly used pair of Deaver Stage 3 today. Need to order some ubolts and then get these installed

I dislike wiring/electrical, and being lazy to do it doesn’t help. But getting closer to finishing up my dual battery setup and getting things installed.

The next step will be to run the wire from the engine bay to the bed.
