270 XT MAX Awning Mk2

So getting my GFC in February and was looking into awnings I really like the Bush Company 270 awning but I have read that mounting it on a GFC is basically impossible and I was wondering if there is anyone out there that has found a solution on mounting the 270 XT mk2

We did the 23Zero 270 Peregrine awning which is very similar but slightly cheaper. Used 4 of the GFC universal brackets and it works great. Website says 55 pounds but my home scale said 57 hence the 4th bracket. Only had it on a few weeks but pretty happy with it so far.

Damn I have been looking at videos of the awning and man I think this is the one. Did you get the 5 Arm awning or the 6 arm? I know they said that if you a door on the back they don’t recommend the 6 but I was thinking about getting the 6 arm for just better stability I guess if there is wind gust

I went with the 6 arm to get the extra coverage.

yeah I went with the 6 arm and the hardware works with the rail system on the GFC or do I have to purchase some additional hardware?

You will want to pick up these mounting brackets from GFC: Universal Mounting Bracket. I went with 4 of them which might be slight overkill but is much more stable in my opinion. There will be enough bolts and nuts to do 2 bolts per bracket. I got a few extra at the hardware store to do 2 on top and 1 on bottom for each bracket. Again that is probably a bit of overkill depending on what type of driving you will do. I find myself going quicker on deeper forest roads with plenty of last minute potholes so I want a few extra cheep insurance hardware pieces.

sick thanks man, appreciate the help. Happy Holidays

I went with the tuff stuff 270 XL and 4 of the universal mounts. I got a bundle deal with the walls included. It made it for Indiana to Florida and back without any issues. We’ll see what next year brings.
