Battery recommendations and location for lighting kit?

Wondered if anyone has installed the lighting kit and running power to a small battery in the bed. Does the lighting kit work with a cigarette to DC 5521 adapter? I was thinking to velcro this battery pack like this to bed.

Yes, I did exactly that. Just plug a male-male 5521 into the lights, or a cigarette to 5521 should also work.
Only thing to be aware of is I think the lights pull about 50watts when all on, so make sure the battery pack can output 5Amps@12v.
I did this so when my ecoflow is out the truck I can still use the lights.

I used a “RoyPow 30W PD Portable Charger with 12V 10A Constant Voltage Cigarette Lighter Socket” from amazon.

Someone on here mounted a pouch on their molle panel at the front of the camper and put the battery pack in there. I’ll see if I can find it.

I saw someone else in the forum use this one and I copied the idea. Its a little pricey but I like it a lot. Has a pretty strong magnet and I stick it to my lower molle panel.

BOOM, I knew it was someone on here

I’ve done something similar before, and it works fine as long as your lighting kit doesn’t draw too much power. Using a small battery with a cigarette to DC 5521 adapter should be okay, just make sure the voltage and connector match your kit. If you’re using it on a boat or any marine setup, consider adding a battery switch marine system to control power flow and prevent unnecessary drain. Velcro is a good idea to keep the battery pack in place, especially if you’re on bumpy roads. I’d also suggest adding an inline fuse for safety and to avoid draining the battery too quickly if you leave the lights on for long periods.

Somewhat related but slightly off-topic, is there an ‘instruction manual’ of sorts for the GFC ‘pro’ lighting kit? I got a box with 5 led strips and a bunch of wires twist tied together. Not even a QR code to scan. It is confusing to me.

I’d try YouTube. They have instructional videos up there usually.
