I am trying to figure out how to secure all my gear in the bed while I am going down the trail. I noticed the billet clamps had holes in them. Can these holes be used as tie-down points? I am mainly referring to tying down gear between two clamps on the same side of the vehicle. I could potentially see this causing an issue which is why I’m asking first. Better safe than sorry.

I don’t see any issues that it would cause tying things down like that. I personally would ratchet anything crazy heavy but light stuff like that should be fine.
It is just a single small bolt holding the billet clamp into the fairly thin GFC frame so pulling any direction other than down as designed could cause issues in theory, but I do use mine from time to time with some Front Runner Scratchits. I agree with @Buhlockaye just don’t ratchet them crazy tight.
