Dispersal spots between Boise and Utah off 84?

Anyone know of a good spot to dispersal camp in the GFC once I get east of Boise on my way to Colorado? Just looking for a quiet spot to sleep in the truck with the dog on the 16+ hour drive. Any suggestions appreciated!

Lotsa spots out that way….

I’d check out the Raft River Mountains in extreme northern Utah. Not too far off I84.

Although I use ONX for navigation, I use thedyrt.com for quick and “dirty” research on dispersed camping spots as it allows you to filter just for dispersed areas.

Looking at the area you’r passing through, there are a few options, but they’re a bit off your main route.

Any northern Utah folks have better options?

There are waaaaaay more options than that. Lots of BLM land (with some signed private) between Tremonton and Burley along I84. Lotsa cool small ranges to check out in that stretch - bigger ranges too like the Raft Rivers I already suggested. There is private land around, but it’s pretty well signed so it’s easy to avoid.

Yeah, I’m wondering if I find a forest road around Black Pine Peak.

I just stayed at the rest stop near Black Pine Peak, and another time south of Provo on I6 near Tucker I stayed on Skyline Drive

I ended up on the BLM land north of Twin Falls, lots of places to camp in the hills but not very quiet with all the road noise in the area.
