F250 GFC Build Question

Hey, im considering a GFC for my F250. its a 6.6 bed and i noticed that it doesnt appear that the tent sleeping area changes with bigger builds. My question is it looks like when you remove the flooring pieces from a tacoma it basically exposes the whole bed for standing room. Is this how it works with the F250? or since the back panel cant be moved is there like a 2 foot overhang into the bed of the truck area that you cant stand in.

The XL for your truck is wider by 6” but you are correct that the interior removable panels are the same length, so you will have an area at the front of the bed that is a fixed panel.

Do you know how big it is? Or if you have an f250 does it bother you?

I’m coming from an OVRLND on my old truck and I liked having all the space available when the bed was pushed forward.

I used to have a ram with a 5’7’’ bed and it was about 8-10 inches of overhang. So I’d guess about a foot more for you. It didn’t bother me and I liked it as a nice shelf to store the panels on when removed, but I never knew it any other way. Maybe see if you can check out another forum members near you? People are usually great at letting others check them out.

Thanks man

Where are you located?

Texas

The non removable part is the white panel in this picture.

It extends 24 inches into the bed portion of the 2002 F350 short bed. 6 3/4 foot bed. It should give you an idea.

It does not bother me or my wife at all. Still have plenty of room to stand up and such.

Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you
