Follow-up on Cleaning stains from the Anodizing

In Oct '23 I posted " Cleaning stains from the Anodizing" which is the process I use to clean and seal the anodizing on the leading edge of my GFC.
Here is a follow-up to that post.

I have only washed the the anodizing with Turtle Wax car wash with wax since the post in Oct '23.

I decided it was time to reseal the anodizing on leading of the GFC. And yes in Oct '23 I use EverBrite. I was not sure at that time how I would like it but as you will see it worked very well and you can see the results in the after pictures.

Right Front.

  1. Use a couple cheep dryer sheets and a small bucket of water to remove the bugs.
The dryer sheets even works on the front grill and hood of your car. Just make sure to wash all the softern off after using them.

  2. Use Al-New Aluminum Restoration Cleaning Solution.
    Follow instructions on the bottle.

Before going to step 3 I let step 2 dry overnight.

  1. Use EverBrite to seal the Anodizing.
Note: Use EverBrite in the shade or on a cloudy day!
Follow instructions on the bottle. If you notice I have a small can because it doesn’t take much.

I also only use Al-New on the sides and back.
I haven’t seen a reason to put EverBrite on the sides.

One more important comment.
There is NO scrubbing involved!
Just light wash and rinse the Soften Sheet and wipe on the rest as per their instructions.

These instructions should go in the manual.

There’s a manual?

Yeah, its on their website but I found it to have little to no value.

It should help. But, nothing is 100%.
Where is the procedures on the website?

Anodizing is as hard as glass or porcelain but unlike glass it is porous and because it is porous it can be stained.
This process should help to prevent the staining.
The staining doesn’t effect the anodizing intended purpose. The staining is just cosmetic.

But, if you are in an area that has a lot of salt or driving through blowing sand you many want to put a couple coats of EverBrite for extra protection.
