Front Panel

I think I messed up. I took a bolt out of the front panel to secure my solar wiring and whatever the bolt threads into fell into the tube. What kind of threaded insert is used here and how am I going to get I back? Am I going to have to remove the whole camper, slider it backwards? Take the whole front panel off, and the put it all back together? I reached out to GFC a few days ago but have not heard anything back. Any info would be great. Thanks!

I bet you could just use a slightly larger self-tapping metal screw to replace the existing one.

That’s a terrible idea :-1:

DO NOT COMPLETELY REMOVE THE BOLTS FROM THE FRONT PANEL!!!

I ended up chatting with GFC and to no surprise I was required to remove the camper, slide it back, remove the panel, fish out the nut insert, and then reinstall everything… what a PITA :peach:

I’m satisfied that it’s done, but heed my warning all! Happy trails:)

What type of fastener is used in that location?

It looks just like the T-slot nut used for the utility tracks but larger.
