Any know if the GFC power pack has enough punch to run a chinese diesel heater?
Box says 60w, but I cannot seem to get mine to keep running.
Thoughts?
What are you trying to use as the output?
If you are trying to use the usb c (the one they advertise the 60w on) that is a 5v nominal circuit.
It depends on the specific heater you are using, but in general what I have seen the 12v/24v needs a minimum of 10A-15A for the startup phase/ to ensure you don’t get voltage errors
for instance, Vevor, one of the more common ones shows the need for 15A in their users manual:
Thanks… yeah it isn’t enough juice. Even the vehicle battery isn’t enough. But the vehicle running is. Now I gotta sort a bigger battery to run it…
Running it off the 12v not the usb-c.

Even my Goal Zero 500x didn’t have enough to run one. The 1500x can but only through the Anderson style plug. One of the reasons I ditched using a diesel heater.

100aH house battery system minimum. You can get cheapo stuff off amazon that works ok. I’ve built about dozen systems. Let me know if you need help.
