I was looking at buying a gfc for my gen 2 Tacoma. Just curious if I find one on a gen 3 Tacoma would it still fit mine or are they different sizes. Obviously the same bed length.
They’re the same except for the rear panel. The 3G Tacoma has a spoiler tailgate top so the way the GFC rear panel (and seal) meets the tailgate is a little different.

Yes it has been confirmed by GFC they just need the rear door panel swapped out.
Yeah I’m glad they’re pretty compatible.
