Well after cutting a 2nd sidewal in the Toyo RT Trails in 8 months made a change. Really wanted to like the RT Trails but 2 ply sidewalls on an E rated offroad centric tire was a bad choice. Whomever designed that should be take out back and beaten

Went up in size to 285 70-17

Argument From Ignorance much?

Just because it hasn’t happened to you doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen to others :man_facepalming:

You came into this thread insulting the OP, saying that he only had a tire issue because of “driver error or running out of talent”, and based that statement on your “18+ years of off-roading and have yet to get a flat”. Well goodie for you, nobody cares. Maybe you didn’t mean to come across that way, maybe you did…either way, you owe the OP an apology for being a dick.

Idaho summer 2025

This was my year to be lead truck and trip planner. After watching way too many videos on Lemhi and Lost River ranges plus the last couple years in Northern AZ and UT it was time for some mountains. Trip meet up was in Leadore ID from there crossed over the Lemhis into the Lost River Range. Started on the north side of the range and worked south exiting via pass creek.

I had a leadership conference with work in Dallas ending the day before departing for ID. Unfortunately for me someone brought the crud with them and it didn’t hit me until night one of the trip. I ended up spending 2 nights in a motel in Challis so I could kick my fever. Was able to at least drive the full route though. Red Rock Inn in Chalis great place to stay BTW.

Anyway the pics

1st one could be a GFC ad

Taken by a buddy

Adventures are one part seeing amazing backcountry and bigger part the crew you spend time with. This group of guys I’d travel anywhere with.

Pics don’t tell the story on slope but lot of 4 low time even though not technical roads just cut on steep slopes

Both of those were such good trips!

And have additional Black Tuesday for the next trip - wherever and whenever that happens to be
