Yours is definitely thinner. The GFC one is very thick as it’s a dual layer of heavy duty carpet. I’ve been thinking of going a route similar to you and gluing the same outdoor carpet I used for my platform to my roof. I’ll see how it is this weekend without a headliner and go from there…
