This truck is about as close as one can get to being an actual Transformer.

That is one unique build @Jtc. Any chance you’d post a video? I’m interested to see the mechanisms function. No intention of replicating, just curious.

I forgot about this build but remember seeing it on tacomaworld. Truly unique. @Jtc what is your thinking behind the hydraulic lift? Impressive design.

I’ll have to do a video sometime later. They messed up when I plugged the box in wrong so I’m in the process of trying to figure out how to fix them but they were kool when they did work…lesson learned ig

Bummer that they’re not working now. How is the seal between the GFC and the bed when lowered? Does having the ability to lift the camper make it more susceptible to water intrusion?

When its down its pretty much like having it tied down normally…no water

Hope it works out man. It really is a unique build. :metal::metal::metal:

Well I fixed them I’ll work on a video later…but my plan was to get the camper set up ez lift had and be able to have the bed still intact with out taking it off and throw a sink and kitchen in the back part but my plans changed with the build once I got the camper and started doing stuff…
they kinda work for that idea but I have to come up with a bracket for the forward to back movement … they are slightly to short to leave the bed intact so I would have to come up with a way to mount the bottom bracket higher…
but my design changed so I kinda just put that on hold

Okay I’m still working on a couple things but by far this is my favorite set I have had so far…

More room, entertainment spot…place to eat and sleep downstairs…not to much weight…

Nice!

Is that one of those modular super rugged power systems? Am seriously wanting one of those.

It’s the original they have.

I ordered it before the rugged version came out…but definitely like it …I got it hooked up to their ups unit they sell and it’ll charge it full in about 2 hours…

Okay I got one last thing for my kitchen set up but . I got it set up…

Two bags … right side (black and brown bag)one is a cooler bag that holds dry goods(in main pocket )and cleaning stuff in side pocket for dishes…foil, trash bags and ziplock bags in the front pocket.

Left side is a black book bag (holds my books in the main compartment.lights in the front (flash light, two bug zap lanterns) small vacuum in the front handle,… pocket knife and thermos on side water bottle pocket…and a quick dry towel.

Water tank with pump and sprayer…on top couple more quick dry towels…bed stiffener with a gfc bracket to put mud/dirty shoes

Battery bank (refrigerator, lights,tv, PlayStation and heater)…bed stiffener with a gfc bracket to put mud/dirty shoes

Place to eat and keep dishes…till I wash them

Bags on the side …
one for jackets …can hold a hoodie,vest and a jacket… another one if I stuff it .

One for pots and a George Foreman grill… easier to clean for them lazy days I don’t really want to cook cook .

One for all my electronics… movies/game cd case . control… battery for heated jacket and speakers and cable… have little bags in that one to keep it organized…

One for shower stuff… swim shorts.bag with shampoo and soap ECT …

Easy to grab inside and out standing or sitting… just pulls right out

Bungie cord in back holds extra blanket, long cook wear…case with plates forks and small bowls, water bottle, small camp chair and citronella candle, water kettle for bowling water…

I can pull on the bungie cord towards me to hook up the stuff so I avoid a lot of bending over to hook stuff on and off…I found it’s the little things that help out a lot to make it a comfortable living situation…

Behind bungie cord…I used the piece that came off the roof for the fan …add a bracket and a magnet to hold it to the cross beams… gave me a lap tray…for eating and stays out of the way .

and in the corner is a inside trash bag and the other is my small goalzero.I’ll end up moving the yeti generator but for now it works …I keep the lights and fan plug into the goal zero…I found it’s nicer to be able to click them on and off…with the buttons on the goal zero vs remote…

Can reach it from the upper bed so I just click on the USB power button on it …or the 12v plug one to turn the lights on and off…I have the top lights plugged in to the USB and bottom ones plugged into the cigarette plug…

Small bag underneath the others…holds all cooking spices and oils plus frebreaz and Lysol ,grem x … couple other items… organized with the front pocket and two inside water bottle straps it has for the Lysol and frebreaz… wipe holder bag on the side …one of those on the other side…

I used wipes in stead of paper towels so there easier to conceal in a bag…

Remote start for propane generator.(Can just start it from inside with everything closed up). have Cord run through the bed were the heater is … plugged in to the fast charger for my solar generator/ easy access to unplug it and use it to run the gorge Foreman grill

Travel extension cord rolls on inside it…for water kettle and Foreman grill.

Remote for diesel heater… easier to grab in upstairs bed…

Heater… have it in the side cubby (pit bike muffler… highly recommend it makes it really quiet…by a lot)

Outdoor grill…and charcoal…
Fold flat Grill behind the water jug… charcoal in the ammo can

Camp shower pump to pump out side water tank to inside when empty… diesel pump for fuel…I do need to find a longer hose for the diesel pump…

But no constantly lifting it up and down when water or fuel needs to be filled…

TV and play station spot

…I working on a kitchen set up and have to take pictures of the indoor shower set up later…

But I think I got this thing down pretty good…

So complete! But wait, did you say indoor shower???

Yup I think I got it all completed… just waiting on a couple of parts for the kitchen set up I have in mind…

And ya I found a indoor shower they use for vans … it’s a little small and kinda pricey for what it is…but I think having the ability to take a quick shower inside with the heater on vs outside in bad weather (rain/snow) …

Makes it weight in gold… basically I can just set it up and shower if I’m camping in a random parking lot or it’s shitty outside…

Indoor shower set up… it’s kinda a small area to shower but definitely works for a quick one…

Takes about the same time to set up as the outdoor one I have …I do have two ways to heat water…a stick immersion heater and propane camp heater…the stick heater uses alot of power though so its more of a back up…

Wow, that’s really unique. Who makes the shower base?

I have the Kakadu, too, but haven’t had an opportunity to use it while camping just yet. My plan is to have an outdoor shower on the side of the GFC.

I got it from theses guys…I might of jumped the gun on it but I didn’t have hot water and had a outside shower set up…

So it was just cold…but I was like man I much rather wake up and shower with the disel heater running…

Almost forgot my gym…for light weight morning work out .

I keep this stuff on the side in the back area of my drawer… And can keep a extra green 1bl bottle propane on the other side…

Basically I found just giving everything it’s own little spot helps this stay organized and cleaned…
