I recently picked up a 7’ Kammok Crosswing awning… I really like how quickly it deploys and stows, however their vertical mounting brackets are crap and don’t work well with the GFC’s extrusions… and they cause the awning to hang 2½" off the side of the GFC.
To simplify installation and get a better marriage between Kammok & GFC I bent up some mounts from ⅛" stainless sheet. These are a knock-off of GFC’s Universal Mounting Bracket (I suspect that GFC will knock-off my design someday too
), but they have a keyhole slot so that you can easily set the awning in place before tightening the fasteners, and of course the hole spacing matches the Crosswing’s extrusion rail. The awning is now a breeze to install/remove and it only sticks out 1" from the side of the extrusion. Per GoFast’s advice (for a 40+ lb awning) I’m using 3 mounting points. I installed mounts on both the driver & passenger side and the awning can be swapped from one side to the other by one person in less than 3 minutes.
Hopefully somebody find this helpful ![]()

Three mounts on each side of the GFC.
This photo was taken during the test-fit so there are only 2 mounts.
