Mag Chloride Pitting

For those of us who live in snowy climates where the hwy dept loves to spray the roads with mag chloride, it can wreak havoc on stuff. I noticed quite a bit of pitting on the fore/aft anodized rails of my camper and it looked crappy.

I soaked a rag with some PB Blaster and rubbed them down … seems to have worked pretty well to remove those spots. Probably get a similar result with WD40.

This will be one of my maintenance things during Winter months … just thought it was worth sharing.

Thanks for the tip! That stuff is horrible on everything.

Seeing the same thing after a trip through ID, wasn’t sure how to tackle. Thanks for the tip!
