With the weather warming up and folks dialing in their rigs this has come up a lot lately, so figured I’d get a thread going here!
There’s not really one set way to mount a River Quiver/rod box on our crossbars, but I’ve seen a few different setups that seem to work well depending on how people are using their trucks! I’ll throw a few of those in here just to get things started;
-
Reusing Stock River Quiver Crossbar Brackets:
The standard River Quiver mounting system uses an upper triangular portion and a lower clamp portion to wrap around a cross bar. You can use just the upper portion of the mounting bracket, (set to be east west on your vehicle) so both holes that would meet the lower bracket now match up with beef racks t-track. From there use our ¼-20 extended track studs and nuts to hold the rack securely across your bars!https://gofastcampers.com/products/track-stud?_pos=1&_psq=track+studs&_ss=e&_v=1
-
River Quiver T-Track Mounts:
This is a lower profile option than the previous one. It is great for mounting on top of the tent or topper across 2 beef rack crossbars, this kit can be used with our track studs for tornado proof rod storage.https://riversmith.com/collections/river-quiver-mounts/products/lp-mount?variant=43523882844380
-
River Quiver Truck Bed Mount:
This can be a better setup for folks that park by a river for extended periods and want to reach their rods without closing the tent. You can bolt the bed mounts to the lower tent extrusion using our t-nut kits. I’d recommend setting this up on the passenger side of your vehicle so it is away from traffic and can be accessed safely, as well as setting up the reel storage portion of the carrier set back behind the side panels opening path.https://riversmith.com/collections/river-quiver-mounts/products/truck-bed-mount-for-shortcut-rq

None of these are “the way” to do it, just examples of what people have come up with, if you’ve got something dialed, toss it in here. Photos help a ton. It’s always good to see how other people are setting things up!
