anyone on here have a build out of the platform topper and experience sleeping in it?
don’t see and topper only builds and curious how they work for camping in the shell, head room etc. i know they sit a little lower that the platform campers.
thinking about down sizing to the platform topper but not sure if there’s enough room to camp back there or maybe better going with a taller shell, like are mx.

I have the topper, and recently sold my sleeping platform but you could make boards that sit above the wheel wells and then have storage underneath. I sold the sleeping platform because I have a Superlite I mount it on top and never sleep in the topper anymore.
I did sleep in the GFC topper once and it’s definitely lower than a fibrglass cab height shell, but maybe only by a couple inches.

Awesome super helpful… was wishing they would make the topper with a pivoting roof with very basic tent sides for more headspace.
I actually thinking of building single sided a platform below my v1 and sleeping down there, take foam out of top and use for storage… kinda wacky but I’m not a huge fan of sleeping upstairs, pain to get out at night.
Downstairs with floor out it feels more like a little chill cabin.
