Second night was in the Ottawa National Forest near Ironwood Michigan. Very buggy here, but it worked well as a quick overnight so I could visit the Porcupine mountains and Black River harbor. As usual, never enough time to check out every area.
The final night of the trip I swung back into Wisconsin and up to the Bayfield Peninsula. Stayed at Birch Grove recreation area, which has the usual $15 per night self service for sites. Very nice campground, still had a few spots open on a busy Saturday afternoon. New pit toilet buildings and all the sites had new picnic tables and fire rings.
I’ve probably got around 30 nights in mine this year. I never remember to take pictures or post to the pudding so my count on here is like 3. Field season is winding down which means less camping during the week, but hopefully more weekend camping with the family.
