We just took a left off the highway and drove into the wilderness until we found that one spot, just by the river, that was inaccessible by the line of tow-behind’ers scrambling for a site before dark. We tried a number of camper options over the years and I can say, without hesitation, the GFC is the best option for us so far.
Night 23: Carson National Forest, San Miguel, New Mexico. Super good spot next to the river and a swimming hole.
Night 24: Carson National Forest, San Miguel, New Mexico. Same spot. Here is our river rat.
Night 25: Carson National Forest, San Miguel, New Mexico. Fished all three days and caught some decent browns. Highlight was this guy who fought like a cinderblock.
Unexpectedly spent most of August hunkered down in Calgary and other last-minute plans will see me away from the truck for most of September… but excited for whats cooking come Oct/Nov. Missing the road!
