Thanks! He’s only 9 months old. A local service dog foundation found him as a surrender at a shelter. He’s been a great addition. We have our third training session today.
Did you stay overnight on WhiteRim? If so, which site? And how long was the total drive time?
The Moon Shade! Great little awning and not hanging off the GFC while driving down the trail!
Nights 9, 10 and 11
First one is outside Carlsbad Caverns in BLM
Second one is near Sitting Bull Falls, NM
Third is Apache campground near Cloudcroft, NM
We are fully on the road now and heading towards AZ.
Night 36: Chitina
Night 37: McCarthy
Night 38: McCarthy
Night 39: Tonsina River
Night 40: Wrangell St. Elias
Night 41Wrangell St. Elias
Night 42: Taylor Highway
Night 43: Eagle
Night 44: Tok (Odin wasn’t allowed in the cabin and I don’t let him sleep alone so I was in the camper while my buddy took the cabin)
Unfortunately there was only one site and 65 mi. into the loop. So I just did a one day down/back and went as far as Airport. I was hoping to do it in two days but three would be ideal.
Night 22: Goosenecks State Park - Canyon sites high above the San Juan River. Had the place to myself.
Good to know, thanks for the reply.
Moon Shade has been great. With @Rancho’s T-Slot Alien mounts, I have the flexibility to mount right/left/rear and it’s light/packs small. Does take more time to setup/teardown than a 270 but I’m ok with that tradeoff.
Nights 5,6,7 & 8
18 road, working remote on a friday, dogs underfoot:
More roasted peeps:
Local fauna says “hi”:
Starlink test was successful. I forsee more nights out this summer working (very) remotely.
Night 23: North Rim CG. Forgot to take a pic of the truck and site but did capture a shot about 200 yd. down from the campsite. Lots of open slots but all no shows despite reserving.
Night 24: DeMotte CG. Holed up for the day and rode out storms over the North Rim. Ok but heading to Kaibab NF and dispersed site’s tomorrow.
