48 hr road trip Fr m Bend Oregon to Cleveland Ohio. Never popped the tent up but put bed pads in the truck bed for charging naps. Worked out super well. Also duct tape and cardboard made a fairing for the cab/cap junction to cut down on some wind noise. I’ll work on making this out of fiberglass or aluminum in the near future.
White on white gang
Can’t get behind the fairing though
Parking lot at St Luke’s pediatric hospital in Boise. Daughter getting emergency appendix removal surgery after spring break in Southern Utah driving back home to Tacoma, WA. Grateful to have the GFC for emergency sleeping situations.
wow that new tent material is so much darker, looks great!
Nights 1and 2 at Little Talbot Island State Park. The “tent” sites are designed to accommodate rigs up to 20 ft. Great place right across from an epic beach.
How are you liking the howl? On paper I like what it does, I just get hung up on the form factor and knowing I will absolutely stab my shins with those pointy legs.
Is that Blowing Springs campground?
What chairs do you have?
The overall performance and function of the Howl has met my expectations. I’ve used it on a few occasions now and it definitely puts out some heat, but within a relatively close area. The only negative I have, albeit a small one, and not really noticeable on this particular trip next to a river, is that the thing is not quiet, the barcoal puts out some jet noise! Does it beat a real camp fire? No, but the fact you can use it in basically any fire restriction up to total public land closure, it is a functional piece of gear.
What he said! I like the Kermit chairs and have had them for about 5 years now.
Thank you
