Post Your Pudding Here (2026)

Starting our journey from Montana to Baja for 6 weeks. Broke the drive up into 4 nights before we hit the boarder.

Night 2: Moab, UT

Night 3: Valley of the Gods, UT

Night 4: Above Sedona, AZ

Night 5: Outside of Yuma, AZ. Just a place to lay our heads before crossing the boarder the next day.

Night 5: Baker Nevada just outside Great Basin National Park. Didn’t realize camping in the park was already open, but oh well. Great tavern nearby and shockingly good Mexican food and burgers walking distance. Plus bonus picture (spaceship with cowboy hat?) from Bryce Canyon area where I forgot to take a pudding picture :expressionless_face:

Night 5; Somewhere west of Mt. Hood. Only one around for miles, amazing creek running to the left, listened to it all night.

Night 6; Somewhere, I’m not sure where but I liked it! (NE of Madras, OR)

Night 6. BLM camping at Westwater before heading into Little Book Cliffs Wild Horse Area. Saw a couple groups of wild horses.

Day 1 of GFC ownership; Day 1 of camping.

I drove from Denver to Salt Lake City for my install due to availability challenges. My preferred campground was booked up, so I pulled into this spot 30 minutes after dark. There’s no way to learn a new tent like setting it up in the dark.

Sweet slide. Looks custom, or is it aftermarket?

Aftermarket from these guys. Although I bought mine used.

I’ve become addicted to induction cooking while camping. My old propane stove was impossible to control the temperature with, and this thing controls temperature better than most home stoves.

Thing’s an amazing piece of kit. Hope you love your GFC as much as I have.

Night 1 2026: Madison River MT

Wow… Never knew they had that area built in. Way cool. Enjoy!

Night 2: A group campsite near Moab with 4 familes including kids. We woke up early for sunrise in Canyonlands before a day of kid-appropriate hiking and afternoon rock climbing.

Night 3: Same campsite in Canyonlands before a guided rafting trip on the Colorado river. Class II rapids are perfect for 8 year olds.

Night 3: Same campground before parting ways with our friends.

Night 4: We took the long way home. I’m skipping the night we stayed in Ouray, as we stayed in a hotel with hot springs. We drove the million-dollar highway, and stayed in Penitente Canyon for the night. The low was around 30 degrees, with 30-40mph winds throughout. It wasn’t the most pleasant camping experience, but the family and the gear held up like champs.

This is a bit dated but, when I lived in CO (2000-2008) we loved going to places like Fall River Reservoir, it was some serious 4x4 but really got that up and out of the way feeling. This would be a good year for making it up there early season since the snowpack is so low.

Night number one for 2026.

Just went to the local state park for a night. Wanted to make sure all my new gear was ready and working all together . Figured out how it all works, etc. took a few notes on a few things to add before my trip around the country the day after I retire.

I may be biased, but the stock+ cement gray third gen’s make me feel some kinda way.

Anyone have beta on a quick stealth camp spot off I-70 near Kansas City? Just need to pull off the interstate, crash for the night, and roll out in the morning. This spot looks doable: 38.997896, -93.790504, but I’d appreciate any local insight.
