I have a bigger 2400 power bank but looking for a more permanent solution for every day use when not camping.
I previously had a Leer so I have a 6 pin connection that powered the dome light. Would it be possible to add an adapter and split the GFC wire and make an Anderson plug or is there a better way to approach this ?
Why don’t you consider a small power pack like Renogy makes, and just plug your lights into that? It would use the cigarette adaptor, but the power pack is small, efficient, and can easily be mounted.
I actually have that exact power bank. I’ve never had a good experience with the 12v cigarette adapter. Always seems to fail sooner or later.
Is there a better way to connect the power bank? I’m also brainstorming on a way to mount it securely in the back of my truck.
Thanks for the help!

@406flyfish I am running a single larger battery but only have one cig outlet (for the fridge) so I just got an USBC cable with the correct plug that connects to the GFC light. If you already have that power bank and are just trying to get away form the cig connection this would likely be the easiest cheapest route AKA disconnected the cig connection at the junction in the connection in the wiring harness and use the adaptor to USBC to the battery. I’ll find the cable I got when I get out of work.
I had a similar setup when I switched from a Leer to a GFC. The 6-pin connection you already have for the dome light can definitely be used, but you’ll need an adapter to make it work cleanly. You can use a 2-pin Anderson to 6-pin radio power adapter like the one from Walcott Radio, or make your own with a fused lead if you’re comfortable wiring. That way, you can split the GFC light wire and still keep things tidy and safe. It’s a simple and solid way to power your lights without relying on the big power bank every day.
