Pro plus nuts installation

Anyone seen a video on how to remove existing pro nuts and put the new ones? I imagine you have to drill out the old ones to put in the new ones? If that’s the case it doesn’t seem worthwhile if you don’t have a need to put that much load on it.

I seem to recall seeing a video where someone was installing the Freedom Coast tracks that showed how to remove the old nuts and install the new ones. No drilling was necessary. I’ll try to find the video…

Edit: Found it. LINK

If you have the rubber well nuts like I do, skip ahead to 4:51 in the video

sure enough your right. That was good news. This is a pretty straight forward install when you see the video. Thanks so much.

I installed the new nuts a month ago. Hardest part was pulling out the old ones. Needle nose pliers helped a ton.

Lol I snapped the bolt for the tool. Maybe too much torque… However the video made it seem like it should keep going until you can’t… Off to Lowe’s to get another.

Yeah, I kept backing them off and checking the compression so I didn’t do any damage. They’re a huge improvement though. My front window molle panel shook two of the rubber ones loose and I was afraid to put too much weight on it. Now it’s really solid.
