Yeah can’t wait. So excited. I have a Crewmax
Outstanding! Throw some pics of the camper up when you get it. Can’t wait to see the V2 on some more Tundras!
Im gonna be totally honest and transparent here…I realized after requesting V2 pictures that I really could care less about any pictures. What I am really looking for is a 9-11 hour in depth video/walk around of the camper (If it could also be featured on the exact truck/color that I have that would be great) with every single feature highlighted and broken down. If you could please record the video in 4k, that would be awesome so that when I am watching it each day until my camper is done, my eyes wont get strained. Thanks in advance.
We have been watching an insane amount of youtube videos about GFCs and bed buildouts, haha. Totally feel you! Bring on the 9-11 hour videos!
Sharing my timeline - note, it was a bit unusual as I was #1303 and “moved up” to #1149. Hope its helpful:

9.25.20 - Paid Invoice and was notified I was “Ready for Production”
1.22.21 - Notified I was getting V2 + Selected new options (tent/panel color)
1.25.21 - GFC called me to schedule install
2.2.21 - Build complete
2.5.21 - Installed in Bozeman (was told it was 3rd V2 install)
(FYI, Install team and experience was awesome - thanks David, Chandler and Beth!)
Whoah. Good for you man! I think I gotta send them an email as mine is supposedly a V1 still and it was in curing when the V2 email came out.
How you liking the V2?
My brother is 1060 with a 5.5ft bed ram and he has yet to get a complete email. Nice to see the v2s rolling out so quick for when I wanna change my v1 out
@Jberti13
I’m with you on that… I’ve been so back-and-forth about wanting to upgrade to a V2. I’ve decided I’m not gonna do it anytime soon after finding out the custom powder coating isn’t a option any longer. The 2 biggest reasons why I wanted to upgrade to V2 was the ability to lock and unlock the rear door panel from inside and the ability to remove the panels easily and not void your warranty if you did remove them. All that being said I won’t be upgrade too V2 anytime soon because I can’t have a custom powder coat like I did with my V1. Then last week @jedgar solved the mystery of being able to lock and unlock the rear panel from inside. He has some excellent mods and all of them have really been needed. If the custom powder coat was still a option on the V2 I’d sell my V1 tomorrow and get in line and wait for a V2. GFC has gone public on their Instagram live feeds and said they are not offering custom powder coating at the moment. They will revisit the option later down the road MAYBE??? And we know what that means.
GFC also posted a video showing how to remove V1 panels…disclaimer included - at your own risk tho.
Is this video still out there somewhere?
It’s on GFCs YouTube channel.
The little screw that holds the end cap in the hinge is EXTREMELY easy to strip so be real careful.

Epic! So awesome. What kind of truck is it going on?
Definitely a bit disheartening to see higher build #’s getting instal dates before the lower ones.
I’m #1271 but have a Colorado so getting passed by all the Tacoma’s…
Amped to get my camper for sure…
dont worry im 1303 and not date yet…im a Tacoma but a long bed
I’m the next day install, morning of the 10th.
Same here, no install date scheduled. Early 1200 build, long bed Tacoma (gen1), and on the edge of my seat with anticipation.
