Production Timeline Records

I’m still getting the camper, just had some hiccups so far is all.

Right now build numbers don’t matter a whole lot across the board only within your exact vehicle type. I am build #1119 and mine hasn’t entered production yet. Supposed to be ready for install in may but was backlisted because I have a first-gen tundra.

I asked on their IG live video, and they said that build numbers are still part of it. But yes, the truck model is also a factor.

Full size 1500 or HD (2500 or 3500)?

2013 1500. Never realized a post had to be at least 20 characters.

Update on 4/2.

Got my call today to schedule my install for 5/8. The camper is scheduled to be completed 4/23 and that is the earliest I can get up there. Stoked!

epic! What are you putting the camper on?

2nd Gen Tacoma Access Cab!
For anyone who has put a GFC on a 2nd Gen did y’all replace the bed rail covers? I bought a set of the Relentless/Vagabond ones and the pre-install checklist specifically mentions no KB Voodoo covers. Anyone know if the Vagabond ones are compatible?

Thanks!

I emailed them statusing my build since it’s getting close to June. I also specifically asked about KB Voodoo rails. @Hoarder23 said on paper they will say no, but the installer wont care…

@fatfurious2 Any update from them? When I emailed I got the party line: “May 2021” and not much more

I emailed on Friday, no response today. I will definitely let you know. Maybe they are pushing the pay timelines closer to the build dates?

Im still hopeful. Its now ~7-8 weeks until June 2021, which is when my build is supposed to start

#1013 is an ongoing process.

I never received an email or other contact when the camper was completed in January.
I emailed them 2/11/21 and received a prompt response, confirming that it was completed. I was told that someone would follow up the next day to schedule an install, but that never happened.
I reached out on 3/28/21 to schedule an install and never received a response.
I reached out again on 4/2/21 to ask about scheduling an installation- still no response as of 4/6/21.
I called today (4/6/21) and left a message.

I’m not trying to whine here, but I work in customer support and it’s not acceptable for us to go that long without responding to an inquiry- even if it’s just a quick “Sorry we’re a little backed-up currently; let me get back to you soon.”
Anyone else have radio silence from GFC Support lately?

I had a V1 installed on a Tacoma '14 DCSB. I installed the KB Voodoo bed side rail caps, Totally Rad Bullet cover/antenna cover replacement and a Martin Offroad camper rack. So far works good well and were able to install with no issues and there is at least a 1" clearance between the camper and components. Unsure how the clearances on the V2 compare. Saw too many complaints on Tacoma world about campers/caps with the stock rails breaking down. Recommend bed rail stiffeners also if you plan on having this on your truck long-term.

Are you referring to GEN twos or three? I’m guessing you’re referring to two. I was aware of the bed stiffeners but nothing about the rail stiffeners. Would you mind sharing the link from Tacoma world as I searched and couldn’t find it. Thanks

Ive never heard of rail stiffeners. He must be talking about the bed rail caps.

They must have completed their design for Silverados. That night shift work is paying off!

Hopefully #1670 comes soon!

Just scheduled install for my 2020 F-150 w’ 6.5’ bed (#1274). Looks like they are calling about a month in advance. When V2 was announced back in January I was quoted a mid-April build start and I am happy that they are going to meet/beat that estimate. Especially considering I have a low volume truck!
