Proper use of door ties

Maybe I’m an idiot, but during my first night camp, I couldn’t figure out an easy way to tie up the rear and side tent doors. Of course, I managed to get it done, but it didn’t feel simple or easy at all. I feel like GFC engineered those things to work more efficiently than I was able to do. Can someone please send me a photo of the door tie correctly used? Thanks.

Do you have three black webbing loops (high door center) and a carabiner?

Clip the carabiner between any two of the webbing loops and it will hold up whatever is rolled up between the loops. But my tent might be different than yours.
