Looking to see if there are people who are using roam boxes on their beef bars? I’d like to add a little storage with two 83L boxes using their rigid mounts. My idea is to mount them on the underside of the beef bars so that the boxes sit between the beef bars and are not sitting so high up.
My concern is that every time I see these boxes mounted they are on traditional racks that have multiple support rails under them. My idea is that they are floating between the bars and I’m concerned that might not be enough support. And yes, I know I might need to change the struts to accommodate more weight on the roof.
Anyone have experience with this?
