Seal between top and bottom frame on the sides?

Was airing out the tent this weekend, and when I closed it, I noticed the slightest gap, maybe 1 mm between the top and bottom half when closed. Hard to tell from this pic but I can see the orange of my tent. Anyone have a link or recommendation on a new seal for the sides of the camper shell? Looks like a narrow piece of molding on the top half that would create the air/water tight seal. Thank you.

What mattress set up are you running? When I have my hest in my camper I notice I have a similar issue with sealing, especially if I leave any blankets up there as well.

The main thing that I’ve found that helps is to close all windows, then “swipe” the sides in as far as I can when I close the top to ensure the tent fabric is evenly spread out and not bunching up. Doing this seems to ease the pressure on the top and allow a proper seal. I’ve washed my truck/camper many times with a high pressure washer and purposely targeted that seam to verify no water seeps through and haven’t had a single drop so far.

Thanks. I have a 2" memory foam mattress pad. I’ll remove and see if that’s the cause. Thank you.

How old is your camper? That seal can compress over time with repeated closing. I was having similar issues and GFC recommended replacing my seal since it was a couple years old.

Yeah, mine was built/installed in Oct 2022. So it’s a couple years old. I’ll take a look at the seal and see if I can find a weather stripping material that is similar size. It’s not that thick (like a house door seal), so just need to find right size. Just going to remove and clean the surface area of the frame, then re-install new seal

And I have emailed GFC to see if they have a make/model number for the seal/weather stripping or even a link. Thanks again
