Wondering if anyone has tried securing a kayak or paddleboard to the top without the beef racks. I don’t have the racks because my gladiator will not fit inside my garage with the racks on top, but I would like to transport a kayak or paddleboard.

Mine would be about 75 lbs. I can’t remember how much weight we can put up there and still allow it to open.
For reference, I think my SUP is like 40lbs and i cant open my top with 3 beef bars that it is strapped to
