New member here - looking to drop down a deposit on a V2 Pro this week, but still have a few questions…
My current SmartCap has a Noco plug installed, similar to the photo, as there’s just enough space on the frame beside the side panels. This powers my fridge and charges my power station in the truck bed pre-trip and when parked at home.
The GFC is all panels, so not sure how I’d install a power plug - or are the panels flexible enough I just run the extension out the bottom?? I’ll keep looking in the forums…
Id recommend just putting it on the bulkhead panel
I think they are doing something similar with the V2Max
WRT the panel flexibility I would say not with both latched and locked but the panel is flexible enough that you can lock one latch before closing the panel and then close and lock the other latch. This should create the space you are looking for to run the power cable. My buddy does this for some venting for his dog in appropriate temps. Not as elegant or secure as what you currently have but should work. If that is a no go I would just drill and add the adapter directly to one of the panels seems like the bulk head would be the one I would likely do. Lots of examples on the forum on how folks have run wiring for Solar etc through the panels.
Appreciate the response. I’ll look into the bulkhead vs the side panel solution. Or maybe just run that extension. A port is definitely cleaner.
The bulkhead area looks tight on a gladiator
I run that same Noco through the driver side bulkhead on my V2, mounted on a ‘22 Colorado. I can grab a pic tomorrow when it’s daylight if you need it.

I saw a post where someone ran one through their side panel and mentioned cable management, but had to go run an errand and accidentally closed the page without completely reading it… can’t find it again for the life of me. I’ve tried every keyword I can think of!
I installed a Noco plug in the upper right corner of my PS panel. Same use case as you. Routed the cable along the vertical support pillar and spliced it into a flush mounted power strip that’s mounted to an Underland MOLLE panel. Left enough slack in the cable so the panel can open freely. Pretty straightforward if you’re okay cutting a 2” hole in the side of your GFC.

I just emailed the GFC guys about using the new wiring port on my V2 Max to run 120V power. There are 4 leads. 2 will be used for my solar. That only leaves 2 for power, which means no ground. Their Tech guys do not recommend that. So I am going with this option, just ordered it. It’s clean. I plan on mounting in on the passenger side bulkhead in the same place the other inlet is mounted on the other side. With my 2024 Tundra, there isn’t enough room on the driver side to mount it there and be able to plug and unplug as needed.
