I’m looking at possibly removing the driver side support braces but am unsure what damage this will cause if any. I never plan on dune racing or jumping the truck and while it sees its fair share of washboard roads I’m ultimately wanting to remove the support braces so I can install a custom cabinet that would bolt to the upper and lower space frame sections.
Tried searching and haven’t found much discussion about it but if I’ve missed a thread please let me know!
The Turbo Cubby was designed for this purpose. I have one and really like it.
I think they said with the turbo cubby you can run it with or without the support braces depending on your use case of course. It seems like you’d be safe to remove them and just make the cabinet robust enough to offer some support.
I looked into it and it doesn’t meet my needs but is really really solid. Looking to remove the braces to run a modular system I can swap with the seasons so summer and winter have different items (heater setup)
