GFC #2176 has been back to Montana a few times for various upgrades as they have continued to innovate the V2 Design. Most recent trip included a full tent replacement. We have only slept in the tent 5 times since the replacement. We have three of the beef racks and tons of various mounts and t-nuts. Eezi-Awn K9 Single Jerry Can Holder is mounted to two of the beef racks.
This truck has been amazing for my wife, dogs and I. I put in my deposit for the GFC 3/8/21, and was able to pick up the camper 10/22/21. We have at least 75 nights in the truck from Utah to Alaska and a bunch in-between. I would trust it to take us back to Alaska tomorrow after putting some new tires on it.
We recently purchased another 4x4 and are focusing on close proximity camping/backpacking right now so the Bison has become expendable. I was planning on continuing the build as you can see by the uninstalled parts but plans changed through the winter.
Truck lives outside, I do not have a garage. Paint is not perfect but it has never been buffed so the clear coat should clean up quite well if that is important. There are various rock chips and a couple dings that can be seen in the photo gallery. Door handles being the worst location for damage. Two rock chips in the windshield, that have not spread.
The interior is in good shape, but there are some rough areas on the hard plastic and some blemishes on the seat covers. We immediately bought the Carhartt seat covers, weather tech back bench seat cover and weather tech door covers when new
Everything works as it should except the back light for the air re-circulation button. This is a very common issue with these trucks. Light bar switch has not been permanently installed anywhere, I was really struggling with cutting into the plastic so it currently lives in the lower cubby under the head unit.
As I mentioned earlier it could use some new tires. I figured I would let the new owner pick the brand or do further modifications to fit bigger than stock tires. I have the front high mark AEV fender flares for 35”s unopened that I would throw in for full asking price. You’d just have to buy the rears from AEV.
