Selling our GFC Superlite Rooftop Tent (Mattress Pad Included).
This is a great wedge-style rooftop tent that sleeps 2. We are the original owners and bought it from GFC 5 years ago. Comes with an inflatable foam mattress that stows inside when the tent is zipped up and brackets kit to attach to the vehicle. The mattress pad can be inflated in under a minute and is surprisingly comfortable for how thin it is. Incredibly fast to set up at the campsite!
We have taken this tent on countless camping trips around the PNW. It’s very sturdy and can handle wind and rain. Go Fast Campers did a limited run of these and no longer sells them. Selling because we are moving and downsizing.
The best feature of this tent that we have loved is that it is super lightweight as far as rooftop tents go. Rooftops tents can be upwards of 250 lbs and this one is only 80 lbs. We originally bought it for its light design, as 2 people can easily take it on and off the roof of an SUV - great for a spontaneous trip! Further, because it is so thin and light, the wind drag/gas mileage drop isn’t as bad as larger tents.
You will need to get a ladder setup, either on the back of the car or the side. We’ve used the permanently mountable GOBI Rear Ladder.
It zips all the way open from the back and from the sides, with a screen layer and an outer shell layer.
The tent and mattress pad have been well taken care of and are both in great shape aside from a small snag in the outer shell cover (no holes in the tent itself).
Mounting brackets included, photos show how they slide into bottom rails of tent to secure to roof.
