[SOLD] V2 GFC for DCSB 3G Tacoma Northern Utah

This is a heavily used GFC with a build date of approx. April 2022. I’ve lived in it for almost 6 months since then. It’s still structurally sound, the frame is in great shape, but it needs some TLC to get it back to peak condition. I’m selling so I can build my dream camper from scratch on the same truck.

Some holes in the front panel from running cables. A few rivnuts as well. This whole panel can be bought from GFC for a couple hundred last I checked.

Drip rails from @jedgar included.

All the latches match and have been upgraded to the more recent style that doesn’t jam up. They are all well-lubed and smooth. 3D printed covers to keep the elements out.

Roof has 400W solar permanently SikaFlex 252’ed on. There’s some corrugated material in between to keep the heat from roasting you alive in the camper. The panels are wired in series, so the combined open circuit voltage is 100V (spicy). These will probably just need to be removed.

There’s 3 small holes in the roof where I had starlink mounted and cables ran. They are plugged.

Tent has side doors.

Rear door has a small Utah decal. All GFC logos and branding has been removed. Outside of doors are pinstriped and worn, but in good condition.

Rear door seal (on the bottom of the door) needs to be replaced. GFC sells spares. I have the rear brake light harness. The brake light itself needs to be replaced because one of the screw holes cracked. It’s on, but not by much.

The bedding is standard, one of the floor panels has had a 3" notch cut out of the honeycomb to run a tube from my furnace when I was in AK.

I will include the full tent insulation kit I made from two Rumpl blankets, that installs with a few fabric snaps. Keeps it nice and toasty up top.

I’m including Toyota Tacoma 2016-2023 3RD GEN TACOMA BED STIFFENERS | TOTAL CHAOS FABRICATION - a $195 value. These keep your bed from fatigue cracking over time. I really liked mine.

Overall - camper is in good shape but needs some work to make it perfect. I think with ~$500 of repairs (front panel, remove solar panels, patch up some holes, replace rear door seal) this thing would be in really good shape.

Located in Logan, UT. Looking to move this quick-ish. It’s hanging from the ceiling of my garage with 8 ratchet straps (at least a little redundancy lol). I have some double bulb seal on the way. The idea is, you drive to my house, air down your rear tires, install the seal, we slide it on, and off you go.

I’m asking $4k OBO

Hey, What is the condition of the tent and canvas?

Thanks!

Tent is in great shape. A few zipper pulls snapped off from closing over that time, but I would recommend replacing with corded ones anyways

Price dropped to $4k OBO.

Hi! I’m thinking this is the go-to idea if I must sell my house (which is strong possibility, near-future, in my current circumstances,) and am excited to see something like this for sale. My Taco is 1st gen, but I think I can figure out how to make this work with it. I’m fairly handy, but electrical is my blindspot… can you tell me if/how I can just get that solar setup working for me? If not, how DO you dismount SikaFlex? I’ve heard that’s impossible. And, if you’d be willing to discount for cash? I used to live in Logan, a couple of decades, can come up from Moab anytime soon (since just lost my job,) and stay with friends there to get this figured out.

Hi, steezeman, just hoping to hear back from you. I’m pretty interested in looking at this, probably buying it. Would love to hear from you, asap.

This will not fit a 1st gen Tacoma…different bed dimensions. It will fit a 2nd gen with a replacement rear hatch but the 1st gen bed is narrower.

@stickyTaco, yeah, I know, I’ve researched that previously, as I am painfully aware of the shortage of quality accessories made for 1st gen Tacos, including that I don’t have the T-track mounting stuff, bed rails are thinner, and 1st gens don’t have that 1/2" taper to the rear… but, the difference is not huge (from 3/8" variance at the front of the bed, to 7/8" variance at the rear,) and I think I’ve got a pretty good idea to make it work, and well. Thanks for your contribution, though!
