If anyone has the Max, and uses the new Starlink mini port…
How does it all connect? Do you plug the Starlink usb-c into the outside of the port? And then how do you power using the barrel connection that comes off the port on the inside? I will have a Bluetti power station on the inside of the camper, just not sure how it would connect to that.
@nat3060@gbyles1313 The external starlink port is the female receptacle for their standard barrel connector, so ideally you can run a stock barrel to barrel power cord, and then the inside is a ~2m power cord that terminates in that same barrel connector. So the no extra parts solution is that you can use the AC adaptor that minis come with to your power bank.
Personally, I have a smaller power bank so all 10 of my 12v cigarette plug’s amps are spoken for elsewhere, and I try to avoid AC inverter loss when possible (as negligible as that may be). I’ve been running the mini off of this adaptor to USB-C without issue:
The only caveat is that you do need that USB-C port to be “PD variable” or capable of delivering a higher voltage/wattage than a standard USB-C port. I know most of the bluetti systems have a 100W capable USB-C, for context I run the AC180P.
