Hey everyone! Getting my GFC Max soon and already thinking about Starlink Mini integration. Has anyone mounted their Starlink Mini under the liner between the roof panels? Curious if it fits cleanly in there and whether signal is affected at all by the material.
Also open to any other low-profile mount solutions people have had success with — ideally something that keeps things tucked away and doesn’t add much height. Would love to see photos if you’ve got them!
OK if its semi permanent as this will be an extra starlink mini.
I’ve had no issues going through the mattress plus roof. It may not work through solar panels. You may have heating issues if it’s too close. I use Starlink Mini Mount – SeaSucker suction cupped through on the side panel with the vertical mounting. It isn’t perfect 90 degrees but works.
Am I reading this correct? You have the Starlink Mini mounted inside the camper and receive signal through the roof panel? I didn’t know this was an option if it is the case.
This is correct! Satellite is affected by materials like metal, wood (because of water content) and other things but not by many plastics like the GFC roof. I only use this while driving with the tent down - I’m not sure if it would work if people were on the mattress (might block signal) and would get in the way of the transform a floor in my case anyway.
