Steezemobile Insulation Kits - coming soon!

I’m going to be dropping an insulation kit on my shop in the next few weeks, compatible with V2 Pro and V2. Can anyone in northern Utah (I’m in Logan) let me measure their XL tent so I can make the two versions? I’ll get you a discount code once I’ve got the shop all set up. Would also be interested in getting into a V1 if anyone has one.

I’m in SLC and I’ve got a 2018 Tacoma long bed with a 6’ V1 GFC. If you want to come to SLC to measure I’d be happy to coordinate that with you. I sent my email address to your drop email link. I’m KP2architects

Whats the rough price point youre looking at? $250? $350? $500?

I’ll be able to nail down a price point very soon. Tariffs have added some uncertainty to the mix. I’m sewing these myself, so as long as I can source raw materials there’s no show stoppers.

I’ve designed a port that should allow the user to run various size heater hoses through the end and/or side doors of the tent. I’ll likely offer a few different options for placement and configuration of the port. How are people currently running their heater?

  • No heater ducts
  • Heater run through SIDE door(s)
  • Heater run through END door
  • Heater run through FLOOR of tent
  • Heater run through ROOF of tent

Can anyone post pics of their heater setup, both inside and outside the tent? Any commentary on what’s worked and not worked would be great

I posted pics in the “meathook” thread of my heater, but happy to share more if you need them.

I run one of these zipped into the door: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1381362197/camping-diesel-heater-air-conditioning?ref=yr_purchases

But looking at rebuilding my heater with a @keeganbuilds recirc kit before next winter…

Oh cool, that’s a good option!

This is the design I’ve currently got. Would allow two heater tubes through. I’m starting to think that two separate tubes with quick attachment points would be better. The other thing this needs is a way to connect tubes on the inside of the tent (fitting on this port + velcro to place) so the recirculation doesn’t happen just in one corner.

This prototype is a laser cut + tapped aluminum back plate for rigidity, plus an ASA front plate that has a lip to capture the raw edge of the fabric cleanly. Could modify the ASA piece with some more sophisticated geometry.

Thoughts? Maybe a quick connect system like this one would be best?
