This fix was shared with me by @weightshift as it’s something he’s done. I figured I’d share the fix as I’m sure others will have the same issue.
After many trips and hours sitting in the California sun, the elastic loops started to fail. The fix is simple - get some velcro and replace the elastic. I used this velcro which is much softer than traditional velcro, and cut it into 4.75" strips.
