T track damage? Beef bar bracket out of spec?

Installed my beef bars and decided I need them in another location, when I moved them the backing of the t track has divots from the screw ends. Is this normal? Are my brackets out of spec? (Hole for bolt bored too deeply?). I realize it’s likely just an aesthetic issue (unless the anodization breakdown causes corrosion), but I paid a lot of money for this and don’t appreciate aestheticissues.

That happens when the bolt is too long. I have done that to mine too. A sharpie helped hide it from bugging me daily.

Not sure if this applies to all versions of the Beef Rack but mine used a shorter bolt compared to the general 1/4-20 bolt that GFC offers with their T-Nuts

joserheo is correct, the standard bolt for the Beef Bar is a Low Head Cap screw. The bolt you installed is not sized for the Beef Bars.
Note if your bolt is too long the bolt head may not actually be clamping down on the part you’re trying to hold, this could cause a failure. Using the correct length bolt is very important in T Track applications.
Not sure why they even supply bolts with the nuts since the bolt lengths vary depending on the application.
